So much to track
One of these days, hopefully today, I should sit down and write down a timeline for all the random stuff I need to take care of as part of the paperwork and preparation to attend Yale in the Fall.
1. Accounting H.W. -- Got a package from Yale about 10 days ago with a coursepack and a CD along with instructions to complete an online test by July 1st. After briefing looking at the material, I've come to the conclusion that it's basic stuff. It's a good refresher though.
2. Background Check -- So Yale is using the famous Kroll firm to carry out background checks for all its applicants this year. This is the first year that Yale has initiated such a process. Places like Wharton have been doing this for a few years now I think. It's got a steep fee of $70 though which sucks
3. Tuition Payment -- Yale should be soon sending me a nice fat bill for the first semeseter's tuition. Definitely can't slip on forgetting this one!!
4. Immunization -- The state of Connecticut requires a bunch of immunizations and proof of it. Another random thing to remember.
5. Housing -- I'll have to take care of this once I get to New Haven in the Fall. I have a few options in mind which should get more clear before I get there.
6. Laptop Program -- i have a Dell but not the recommended computer from yale. So either I have to buy a new one through them (which is not a bad deal at all) or work with them to make my comp compatible with their systems.
7. Summer work -- Yale recommends that i should be reading financial newspapers and some basic economics and maths to get ready for MBA school.
8. Math-camps -- A week before orientation, Yale is offering two or three math camps to help people brush up their skills in math and finance. It's not very expensive and so might be a good option to explore.
I think that should take care of everything.....
